Friendship, Love and Intimacy

Everyone needs friends. Learn to view yourself as a good friend that people like and want to share with. When you are pursuing friendships, who is in your jury box? Who is your unconscious audience that is discouraging or encouraging you? Is theresomeone from your childhood who really enjoyed seeing you? Focus on that memory. Often group therapy is the most effective in helping people feel more confident in making friends.

Learn to overcome childhood programming and be open to a romantic relationship.

Overcome sexual issues from childhood and pursue a healthy sexuality. If you are struggling with fear of sexual intimacy, sexual compulsivity or sexual fantasies that upset you, you can learn to think of yourself in positive ways so that these issues are conquered.

People are often amazed at how much friendship, love and sexuality have to do with one’s relationships with one’s parents. A preoccupation with bondage is often related to parents who refused to accept the love offered by the child, or parents who frustrated the child. Cross-dressing is sometimes associated with fear of abandonment by the mother in childhood.  Bringing these relationships out into the open is the beginning to addressing them in positive ways.
